Saving Lives, Saving Money
What makes us different?
We have developed our theoretical training programme by using Behavioural Change Techniques (BCT) to the point where on-road training is not a necessity, saving you time and money.
We highlight, through a practical exercise, that most people do not take advice and implement it. Once this has been highlighted, the attendees are more likely to take on the advice given in the training.
The goal of this section is to encourage the candidates to have a more realistic view of their actual skills level. This is important as those who think that they have nothing to learn, are disinclined to learn.
The goal of this section is to have the candidates understand the reasons behind the training. We cover
- Costs of running a fleet.
- Reason for employment (where relevant).
- Responsibility to family – personal reasons.
We end this session by obtaining their written commitment to the training, addressed to their families.
IDS has created a unique defensive driving guide, which is easy to understand and remember, doing away with the need for long winded and outdated acronyms such as SIPDE, etc.

DEFENSIVE
We offer innovative, entertaining, interactive, and unique defensive driver training programmes. Using Behavioural Change Techniques, we help reduce the costs of running your fleet, the chances of your staff being hi-jacked, and the possibilities of crashes. These changes in behaviour protect your staff, cargo, and reputation and can lead to reduced fleet running costs of between 5% and 15%, with a substantial return on investment, whilst ticking off another OHS box.
